#foodfriday #stoneflyupdate

Early March is an exciting time at Stonefly Café that will include an expanded menu, a new Wednesday Market Lunch Special, and one of the most authentic St Patrick’s Day Celebrations in our area.

I will start with the new menu that is an expansion of our current fare. We are featuring a selection of ten house made pasta dishes that are available daily to include Spaghetti Puttanesca, Spaghetti and Scallops, Pasta Arrabbiata, and many more as well as a complete line of our existing pasta favorites.

We have also added five entrees that will be available daily to include a Bistro Steak, Crab Cake Dinner, French Style Hunters Chicken, Cod Picata, as well as our Famous Fresh Mussels in a Butter, Garlic and Chardonnay Broth.

We have also enhanced our Saturday Brunch Menu with the addition of Orange Blossom French Toast and a selection of house made waffles featuring a Southern Fried Waffle smothered in sausage gravy and topped with a piece of fried chicken and a fried egg if you desire. We will also offer the Elvis Waffle featuring Peanut Butter, Bacon, and Banana, as well as a Banana Foster Waffle. Our Saturday Brunch has continued to grow, and we believe these additions will only enhance your experience.

Our next exciting development will be a weekly lunch special for all of our friends who travel to the Big Valley for the Wednesday Sale Day. Beginning this Wednesday, we will offer a traditional home style Chicken & Waffle Lunch served with House Made Potatoes, Corn, Gravy, and Apple Sauce. We look forward to offering this Local Tradition and will be preparing it just like Grandmother did from scratch.

Last, we invite you to call in and make a reservation for our St Patrick’s Day Celebration on Sunday March 15th from 2pm to 5pm. Not only will we be serving traditional Irish Stew, Soda Bread, Corn Beef & Cabbage, Ruben Sliders, Beer & Cheddar Dip, and Bread Pudding with Irish Whiskey Sauce, the main event will be our authentic Irish Pub Band, Music Craft. They will have the house singing and dancing to a selection of traditional Irish tunes. Last year, this same group raised the roof at Stonefly Café, and we expect the same this year as well. So, for a real St Patrick’s Day experience, call today to secure your reservation as we only have room for seventy guests.
